Heritage and Name: HAKOUM is named after the father of one of our co-founders, Hikmat – a name that signifies wisdom, justice, and righteous judgment. The name Hikmat holds a special significance within various cultures across the Levant. We chose the nickname HAKOUM because it captures our essence: fresh, contemporary, and aligned with the current generation, while firmly rooted in a rich, diverse, and longstanding heritage. The name reflects both our modern approach and our profound respect for the traditions that shape us.
